One of the world's oldest sports β played every summer Sunday in the Finger Lakes.
The Skaneateles Polo Club has been part of this community since the early 1960s β one of the few polo clubs in all of New York State, tucked into the hills about a mile south of the village.
Every Sunday in July and August, spectator-friendly matches bring teams from across eastern North America β Cleveland, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Buffalo, and Aiken, South Carolina all make the trip, and the club plays benefit matches for local charities all season long. Admission is free. Pack a picnic and a lawn chair, and after the match the kids can meet the horses.
